Our Story

Early 2022

Enchanted by the historic and serene Suwannee River, we purchased a cabin in the woods near Live Oak, FL. Nature brought us back to our roots - homesteading, and farming.

May 2022

On a bright and early crisp river morning, we found ourselves at our local Lake City market of vendors. An empty box awaiting our new fluffy family members sat in the back row of our truck.

Our paths collided with a sweet chickening woman with breeds from Wyandottes to Orpingtons to Lavender Ameraucanas. We quickly started our new journey - 6 chickens.

We found ourselves lost in chicken math, gaining a silkie rooster and hen pair, immediately falling in love with their sassy squawks and cat-like greetings, we knew Silkies were the breed for us!

Shortly after we began working with Polish chickens alongside Silkie chickens in the Suwannee River jungle we call our home!

February 2024

Our journey continues as we relocate to Elkton, FL, and expand our homestead…. 6 healthy mini Australian shepherds were born from our sweet sweet Pepper!

March 2026

We began raising rabbits, collecting rainbow eggs from our hens for hatching, and welcomed a pair of Silkies and a trio of Polish chickens to the flock. Our Silkie hen went broody on 17 eggs, so Silkie chicks are expected this spring 2026. Fur and Fluff Farm will also start offering plants and plant starts! Contact us for more information!
